EXHIBITIONS

2001

Solo exhibition held at the 198 Gallery, featuring new large scale painting.

2000

Selected to take part in the Creative Futures event, exhibition, featuring people within the creative industry tipped to be successful in the future.

1999

Solo exhibition held at the Holborn Studios Art Gallery, featuring all artwork created for Gomez of a 2-year period.


ACHIEVEMENTS

2005

Featured as artist in residence for the London-wide Africa 05 event.

2004

Took part in the Graffitti meets windows event in Osaka, Japan.

The event required 7 artists, including me, to create a large scale piece of artwork each, in a department store window in Osaka.  The work had to be based on a reputable fashion designer’s work.  I was asked to base my work on Alexander McQueen’s ideas.

2000

Award for best illustrator within the music industry at the Music Week Annual Award Event for work done in 1999.

Selected to participate in judging the images shortlisting selection panel, held by the Association of Illustrators, for the Images Illustration exhibition held at the Royal College of Art.

1997

Awarded the Parallel media prize of £4,000 for best illustrator at the RCA.

1996

Awarded the Painters-Stainers Award of Excellence at the RVA.


EMPLOYMENT HISTORY


2001 - 2002                   Teacher, 198 GALLERY

Teaching and co-ordinating a creative IT, photography, screen-printing and general creative skills workshop for 9-19 year olds.

2000 - 2001                   Market Researcher, CONTINENTAL RESEARCH


1998 – 2000                  Art Designer (under commission), BLUE
SOURCE

Artwork for 4 CD sleeves consisting of 3 singles and an album cover for the 1998 Mercury prize winning band, Gomez.  A further 7 record sleeve pieces for the band, consisting of 3 double singles and an album cover.  By 2000, artwork was also created for an EP and B sides’ album.
