^{AFRICALLS? is a creative project that, through a documentary film, a book, and an exhibition, shows the work of five artists and two contemporary art production centres of seven African cities.}

^{Directed and produced by the production company from Barcelona, We Are Here! Films, and curated by Elvira Dyangani Ose, AFRICALLS? is an audiovisual collage that presents the artists interests and the urban context in which they create their works.}

^{AFRICALLS? approaches the work of these artists from an unusual perspective , direct and intimate, exploring the key aspects of their personalities and creative processes beyond the art objects they make in cities such as Dakar, Douala, Cape Town, Rabat, Luanda, Nairobi and Maputo.}

^{AFRICALLS? is an audiovisual journey to the contemporary art of a new urban Africa, also unknown as cosmopolitan, contemporary and global. This journey is built from very different stories, all of them alive and under construction, told by their main characters: Lolo Veleko (Cape Town), Mamadou Gomis (Dakar), Nio Mosquito (Luanda), Jorge Dias (Maputo), Myriam Mihindou (Rabat), and the collectives Doualart (Douala) and Kwani (Nairobi).}

^{Without a set script, all the stories have been constructed in the field, during the shooting, in real time, face to face with each of the artists who invite us to reflect on their ideas in that very moment in which life happens in front of the Africalls? camera.}

^{After 10 intense months of work, and after traveling more than 93.000 Km, were glad to share with you an innovative artistic project such as AFRICALLS? that, besides approaching you the ideas and feelings of the contemporary African artists, we suggest reflections and questions about art in the contemporary Africa.}
